Mission

The Dawn Eleven Contemporary Art Foundation (DeCA) is dedicated to fostering the next generation of visionary artists and curators, guiding them to become the new dawn of the contemporary art world. The number 11 symbolizes a field in progress, representing the threshold of completion—where creativity thrives, and the future of art begins to take shape.

At DeCA, we are committed to advancing the artistic and curatorial practices of emerging talent. Through thought-provoking, site-specific exhibitions and collaborative projects, we engage with pressing contemporary issues, encouraging dialogue between artists, curators, and audiences. By fostering these creative exchanges, we invite the public to actively participate in shaping the future of art.

Board and Trustees

We are a nonprofit organization with a strong international presence. Our board members have established close relationships with galleries across multiple countries and include a diverse range of professionals, such as artists, curators, and business operators.

Sam

Guangyuan (Sam) Xing

Founder, President, CEO

Guangyuan (Sam) Xing assumed the position of President and CEO of the Dawn Eleven Contemporary Art Foundation on September 13, 2024. Xing is active in the field of contemporary art and culture as a leading young artist as well as a scholar. Xing also serves as a committee member of 25E Gallery and had participates in the planning of several major art exhibitions and events. he supervises operations, production, and strategic planning, ensuring that each event and exhibition is in harmony with the foundation’s thematic and cultural objectives. Additionally, his responsibilities encompass managing timelines, budgets, and legal matters, as well as overseeing branding, marketing, and partnerships.

Ruiqi (Ricky) Gu

Co-Founder, Vice President,
Chief Development Officer

Ruiqi Gu assumed the role of Vice President and CDO at the Dawn Eleven Contemporary Art Foundation, specializing in curatorial direction and marketing strategy. As a skilled curator with a deep understanding of contemporary art, Ruiqi leads the development of the foundation’s exhibitions and cultural events, ensuring that each project aligns with the foundation's artistic vision and mission. This includes fostering partnerships with artists, galleries, and cultural organizations, as well as enhancing the foundation’s brand presence through innovative campaigns that engage both local and global audiences.

Xitong (Molly) Zhang

Co-Founder, Vice President,
Chief Operation Officer

Xitong Zhang serves as the Vice President and COO of the Dawn Eleven Contemporary Art Foundation. With extensive experience in gallery management, auction houses, and exhibition coordination, she oversees the foundation’s day-to-day operations, logistics, and program execution. Her role involves managing project timelines, curating site-specific exhibitions, and fostering partnerships with artists, curators, and cultural institutions. Additionally, Xitong leads the foundation’s efforts in external resource coordination and communications, ensuring that every initiative aligns with its mission to support emerging talent and foster meaningful conversations around contemporary art and culture.

Jinbo (Barry) Zhang

Co-Founder, Chief Marketing Officer & Secretary to the Board of Trustees

Jinbo Zhang was appointed Chief Marketing Officer on September 25th, 2024, due to his Masters in Nonprofit Management from Columbia University and previous experience in nonprofit startups. Jinbo has excelled in marketing teams at AstraZeneca, IKEA, and MG Education and brings his expertise to lead Dawn Eleven Contemporary Art Foundation’s fundraising, marketing, advertising, and donor relations. As the Secretary to the Board of Trustees, Jinbo organizes board meetings, ensuring the board is up to date with all operations and aligns with our mission.
