Sona Lee

Sona Lee is a Korean artist based in New York and Seoul, working primarily in painting, drawing, and digital media. Her practice focuses on expressing tranquility and serenity by presenting subjects in distinctive spaces formed solely by gradating color and light. Her work also explores the complex emotions experienced during the transition from the present to a euphoric state. Recently, she has been delving into the sense of emptiness and effects on interpersonal relationships that arise from a pursuit of utopia through escapism.
